I imported my dives, why are some missing?

Imported your logbook and a few dives didn’t make it aboard? They may not actually be missing. 🤿

SeaLog can skip dives that are already in your logbook, freedive and snorkel sessions aren’t imported, and the free plan can only hold a limited number of dives.

A few things to check

  • Duplicates: check the import review screen for dives SeaLog recognised as already being in your logbook.

  • Freedive or snorkel sessions: if the original source includes them, they won’t be imported into SeaLog.

  • Import filters: if you used Skip dives before your last logged dive or a date filter, try running the import again without it.

  • Free-plan limit: if you’re on the free plan, your logbook can only hold a limited number of dives, so the rest of a larger import won’t come in. See What can I do on the free plan?

Still missing a dive?

Compare your SeaLog logbook with the original source to see exactly what didn’t make it across.

If something still looks wrong, send us a signal in chat and include:

  • the file you imported

  • the app or source it came from

That gives the SeaLog crew what we need to take a deeper look.
