Will importing my dives again create duplicates?

Not sure where you left off with your last import? No worries, you can safely import again. 🤿

SeaLog recognises imported dives by their date and source, so importing the same file or downloading dives again from the same dive computer won’t create duplicates in your logbook.

There’s nothing to set up or enable first. Just head back to Import dives and import as usual.

What happens to dives already in your logbook?

SeaLog checks the dives it finds against the ones you already have and skips those it recognises as duplicates.

At the end of the import, the summary shows you:

  • how many dives were imported

  • how many were already in your logbook

So if you can’t remember exactly where you stopped last time, just dive back in. SeaLog will take care of the duplicates.
