How do I import dives from DiveMate?

Bringing your dives over from DiveMate? You’ll need to export them as a UDDF file first, then bring that file into SeaLog. 🤿

One small catch: in DiveMate, the UDDF format SeaLog needs is labelled MacDive. Choose MacDive even if you’ve never used the MacDive app.

The export also requires DiveMate’s paid data pack. Without it, the export option will stay locked.

First, export your dives from DiveMate

  1. Open DiveMate and tap the menu.

  2. Go to Backup & Sync.

  3. Choose Export file.

  4. Select MacDive and export the file.

Then, bring them into SeaLog

  1. Open the SeaLog tab and tap +Import dives.

  2. Choose DiveMate.

  3. Tap Choose the exported file.

  4. Select the file you just created.

You may also see DiveMate, DivingLog 5/6, and Subsurface in DiveMate’s export menu. MacDive is the one you want for SeaLog.

And just to keep things clear: the paid data pack is a DiveMate purchase, not a SeaLog charge.
